This privacy policy sets out how Hotel Mariners uses and protects any information that you give Hotel Mariners when you use this website.

Hotel Mariners is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Hotel Mariners may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 25th May 2018.

What we collect

We may collect the following information:

    • email address;
    • post code;
    • telephone number;
    • credit or debit card information and/or other payment information;
    • we will only hold credit or debit cards information if we have received written authorisation from the card holder to do so.
    • any other personal information that you choose to provide to us when you contact with us.
    • car Registration at Check in
    • we will not ask for D.O.B.
    • we will not request any children's names staying at the Hotel.

 

Security

Our Employees, and temporary staff or subcontractors if at anytime required, are all subject to confidentiality agreements with ourselves.

We will not disclose any confidential information unless required by law, in which case we will inform you prior to any disclosure unless prevented to by law.

As part of our GDPR compliance support we will: Keep personal data secure; Notify any incidents of personal data breaches to yourselves, to the relevant supervisory authority and data subjects (ICO) within 72 hours = 3 days.

We care about your privacy, the new set of rules @EU General Data Protection Regulation starts 25th May 20128.  These rules are being brought in by the Government to protect you and the personal information businesses hold about you.

We have always taken care of our customers' personal details, but the new law has prompted us to further explain about how we use your personal information in our day to day operations and how we keep it safe and secure.

We have looked at all ways we handle, manage and use your data.  It is our utmost concern that all relevant staff are aware of the new law and how they handle and use your personal data.

We do not under any situation other than requested by the law share your personal information.

We do not use your personal information for any marketing, unless it has been requested by yourself.

By law we keep certain information, which after your departure is archived and hard copies are boxed and locked in an archive room.  This will be annually reviewed, and destroyed by shredding when lawfully it is not required any more.  Only Management has access to this room.

All correspondence via email will be destroyed shortly after departure.

Under no circumstances any information will be given to third parties.

Computer information can only be accessed via passwords which is known to authorized Reception staff and Management.

How we use cookies
